Up All Night

Today was my sixth chemo treatment in the series of 12.  Here are the highlights:
  • Six more treatments to go; each treatment seems to be taking longer.  I started at 10:15 am and didn't leave until 3:30.
  • I asked my nurse to reduce my steriod content today since it causes severe insomnia.  Since I took on my new "blog" project at 1:00 am, you can see the reduction didn't really work.
  • I will be having a breast MRI and a CT Scan with contrast this week.  The odds are in our favor that we will have good news but I will be anxious until all of the testing is behind us!

Wanted to share with you some of Evan's two month pictures.  He is such a big boy!  Weighing in at 11 pounds, 3 ounces already!  In the 40th percentile for weight, but the 58 percentile for height.  Long and lean!

  • My hair is starting to grow back and I look like a fuzz ball.  Brian has started calling me, "Fuzzy Buckle Head"
  • To combat my fuzziness, I bought a brand new wig on Friday.  I love it!  It feels great to have hair again.  My hair has bangs and is driving me nuts, but you win some, you lose some.  When you see me, please refrain from shouting, "Holy crap, Erin, you have hair again!"  It makes it awkward for those around us.
  • My sweet little Evan started Bootcamp this week.  How do you have a 2 month old in Bootcamp?  Well, it's Baby Bootcamp designed to take a little non-sleeper and turn him in to a sleeper.  Naps are scheduled, feeding is scheduled, holding time is limited and we actually time his crying before we got him.  It's painful and I hate it but I am going back to work shortly and I must have this little guy sleeping.
Other weekend highlights: The Dickel

  • Craig Castelli was on the winning team again - I'm thinking something is rigged.
  • Brian Murray and my dad were also on the 2nd place team, again.  Craig Rothschild pulled miracles on the course to carry them through, or I am thinking this too is rigged.
  • I drank too much on Saturday night but it wasn't noticed by anyway because I was still one of the more sober ones.
  • Our wine bottle bag was filled with baby bottles.  The glamor of bringing a baby to a party.
  • Evan got to meet Great Grammy Pat.  She was wonderful with him.  Great Auntie Kathy, Laura, and Maureen all had quality time with Evan.  It was wonderful to see and I can't wait to do it again.
  • The Miller Family reunion is this Saturday.  Evan will get to meet the rest of his great aunties and uncles and his favorite Baby Conner...who is two weeks older!
